you don’t have to diet … just relax.
According to a recent study at the University of Otago in New Zealand , women who only diet and exercise are far less likely to lose weight successfully than those who follow a program of yoga and meditation.
Sounds simple enough. And crazily enough, I have been the most successful in my health and eating habits when I was meditating, and yes, doing yoga. So really it all comes down to a mind, body, spirit connection. Maybe this is a sign that I need to get back on that track.
I love yoga but I am not consistent at it because I don’t feel I’m good at it. Silly? Probably, but maybe that needs to be my next challenge. Yoga 5 times over the next 7 days. Meditation is a wonderful thing. It’s simple and enlightening. I have shied away from it because as I have entered menopause I cry at the drop of a hat. And meditation tends to make me cry. Maybe my focus will be on positive meditation, rather than allowing myself to cry. I’ll have to work on this one. But again, I’ll pair this with the yoga, and do this 5 times over the next 7 days. Like anything else, once you get going it’s easier. It’s the start that is the challenge. So tomorrow I start.
Wish me luck and thanks for stopping by!
